Two Popular Styles of Convention Video
Show & Booth Documentation
One style of videos popular at conventions would be the documentation of the actual show, or one or more booths. And this can be accomplished in one day or multiple days, as the client desires. On many occasions, we’ve set up a “footprint” at our client’s booth, where interviews could be conducted with signage in the background.
“Happy Face” Candids Videos
Another form of videos produced at conventions is the “Happy Face Video” aka Candids aka “Living Agenda” productions. This type of production requires one or more camera operators who document speakers, break-out sessions and attractions attended by the conventioneers during multiple days. Generally this happens over a weekend. An editor is typically sequestered in a quiet room onsite with a mobile editing system. Meanwhile, the shooter(s) deliver media to the editor throughout the convention. Afterward, the finished show ranging from three to five minutes is then displayed on large screens – IMAG – to the attendees as a gift of memories.
