The Punisher

in 2004, just after “The Punisher” hit the theaters, Automat Pictures hired the Crystal Pyramid Productions crew to videotape interviews of comic book artist, Tim Bradstreet, who draws “The Punisher,” and Thomas Jane, who starred in the 2004 movie “The Punisher” as Frank Castle. Fun Video Productions from the Past

Fun Video Productions from the Past

Fun video productions are our motto.  It’s delightful when your work is your passion.  We came to the end of 2019 like a toboggan careening down a luge.  It seems like only yesterday when we were facing the year 2000. Remember Y2K? So do we.  Here we are in 2020!  We hope it signifies the Year of Perfect Vision. Usually with each new year you think back to the past and in our case, fun video productions from the past.  Here are some fun ones that stand out.

Comic Con: Blast From the Past

Comic Con: Blast From the Past

Celebrities have become the mainstay of the San Diego Comic Con.  There is no doubt that the attendees of the Con would not have grown to such massive numbers if there was not some sort of pay-off for them.  What’s the pay-off?  It’s hope.  The opportunity to catch a glimpse of a beloved celebrity.  The possibility, no matter how slim, of getting up close and personal.  The potential of asking a burning question during a panel.  The idea of perhaps shaking hands with a screen star, someone bigger than life.

Dog Show

Dog Show

In 2019, our crew traveled to Palm Springs for the 2019 American Kennel Dog Show. With three Camera Ops manning live-stream cameras, the world was able to watch 4-1/2 hours of handsome canines trot alongside their trainers.

Lingerie Sky Divers

Lingerie Sky Divers

The jangling phone woke us early one Saturday morning.  It was our producer friend at Inside Edition.  “Can you guys get your video production crew together and head up to Lake Elsinore to videotape some lingerie sky divers?”
Um, YEAH!

San Diego Lifeguards Our Heroes

San Diego Lifeguards Our Heroes

We joined them atop Tower 13, on the main lifeguard building roof, in their lifeguard beach vehicles, on their rescue boats. And we marched up and down the sandy beaches wearing our sound gear, and hauling camera and tripod, in anticipation of drowning victims, killer sharks and beach mishaps. We were shooting for a Weather Channel documentary about San Diego Lifeguards. They called it Lifeguard!
